Hamlet: William Shakespeare

Hamlet: Will you play upon this pipe?
Guildenstern: My lord, I cannot.
Hamlet: I pray you.
Guildenstern: Believe me, I cannot.
Hamlet: I do beseech you.
Guildenstern: I know no touch of it, my lord.
Hamlet: It is as easy as lying.

Act III, Scene 2: The recorder as sinister prop. I actually think lying is kind of difficult

I was not expecting to find more than one item with this tag. I am pleased to have been mistaken.

Lying, like playing the recorder, is easy to begin but hard to do well.
